7stanes
The 7stanes are seven mountain biking centres spanning the south of Scotland. We are lucky to be approx half an hour from two great coarse's - Kirroughtree and Glentrool forests - Both are 7stanes mountain biking centers spanning some of the south of Scotland. The 7stanes offer mountain bike trails for everyone, no matter how experienced some of the world's best mountain biking, from the heart of the Scottish Borders to Dumfries and Galloway.
Kirroughtree is home to some of the best technical single track in the country and is also a favorite family venue with a wide range of trails, cafe and a great kids play area.
Glentrool - another 7stanes trail is without any single track and on minor public and forest roads, . With magnificent views of lochs and hills contrasting with sheltered woodlands, and some testing climbs and big descents - the course is a challenging but rewarding day out.
